The three-day techno festival’s third edition hosts over 75 artists, with women artists comprising 40 percent of the lineup as part of their inclusive initiative
Techno and electronic music heads to the hills this week, with the upcoming third edition of Spacetech Music Festival taking place in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh between June 7th to 9th.
The lineup for the three-day festival includes techno heavy-hitters and more topline electronic artists and DJs who rule the circuit. Spacetech Music Festival 2024 features the likes of Almost Human, Anushka, Bullzeye, Fake Tattoos, Kollision, Ma Faiza and Tech Panda x Kenzani, plus Axl Stace, Likwid and a live set by Akhlad Ahmed, among others across three stages at the Palm Bliss Resorts & Spa in the town Bhuntar, Kullu.
The riverside setting is likely to heighten the proceedings, which also includes DJ producers like Murthovic, Rafiki, Kampai, SEQU3L and Deep Brown, who are part of a total of over 75 artists performing at the festival. Expecting over 2,000 in attendance, the festival was founded by DJ Sorab Bhasin aka Trong.
He says in a press release, “As we embark on the third edition of Spacetech Festival nestled in the heart of Himachal Pradesh, we’re not just organizing a festival; it’s an immersive experience. Palm Bliss resort & Spa, our committed partner, joins us with two outdoor stages and three after stages, embodying our dedication to diversity and amplifying homegrown talents.”
He adds that their mission this year is not just about pulling off a huge number of artists, but also the festival’s inclusivity goals, for which they’ve tied up with women-led techno community SheLikesTechno. On the lineup, 40 percent of artists are women, an initiative that the festival says “celebrates the talent and creativity of female artists, challenges stereotypes, and fosters a more inclusive environment within the electronic music community.”
SheLikesTechno founder Aparajita Misra says in her statement, “We at SheLikesTechno are thrilled to partner with Spacetech Festival to redefine festival and partying codes. Together, we’re creating safer, inclusive spaces where passion for music connects us all.”
Tickets for Spacetech Music Festival are currently priced at ₹5,999 (festival pass), ₹9,999 (couple festival pass) and go up to ₹24,999 for backstage festival pass. Day passes are selling for ₹2,499 for June 7th and June 9th, while tickets for June 8th are in their final phase, priced at ₹3,999. An additional cover charge, fully redeemable at the festival on food and drink, will also be applicable.
