The guitar virtuoso performs in Mumbai, Bengaluru and Kolkata as part of his Inviolate tour and Skillbox's LiveBox Festival
The gigs just keep coming this festival season in India, with American guitar great Steve Vai set to return to India for three shows in early December. As part of his Inviolate India Tour, Vai will perform on December 6th in Mumbai, on December 8th in Bengaluru and on December 9th in Kolkata as part of ticketing platform Skillbox’s LiveBox Arena series.
The shows come about six years after Vai was in India, headlining Bacardi NH7 Weekender in 2017, which saw him perform in Pune and Shillong. This time around, Vai arrives in India on the back of releasing his album Inviolate in early 2022. The album included songs like “Little Pretty,” a fusion-funk take from the guitar virtuoso.
Vai will headline LiveBox Arena in Mumbai’s Phoenix Market City followed by Bengaluru’s Phoenix Market City and close with an indoor show at Kolkata’s JW Marriott’s Grand Ballroom. Early bird tickets are now on sale, priced at ₹1,999 for general admission and ₹3,499 for VIP admission.
The artist will be in India amidst what looks like a packed calendar for gigs featuring international artists, with Bacardi NH7 Weekender in Pune, Echoes of Earth Festival in Bengaluru and fusion band Snarky Puppy’s India return all taking place in the span of a week in December.
