Due for release on August 18th; available to pre-order in many formats, including a hardback 120-page book edition
After months of teasing fans on social media with song snippets and behind-the-scenes photos from shoots with personal photographer Lasse Hoile, British prog rock veteran Steven Wilson has finally shared the details of his new album, titled To The Bone.
The musician revealed the artwork and track listing on Facebook today, along with the first single“Pariah.” He will also go on an extensive Europe tour to promote the release. Shows in North and South America are also in the pipeline.
The former Porcupine Tree frontman, who has released four solo studio albums to date including the seminal Hand. Cannot. Erase (2015), is known for experimenting with varied concepts and imagery on every new release. All of this while also retaining his signature, post-modern melancholic sound his fans ”˜weep’ by.
“Lyrically, the album’s eleven tracks veer from the paranoid chaos of the current era in which truth can apparently be a flexible notion,” Wilson said in a statement on his Facebook page today. “Observations of the everyday lives of refugees, terrorists and religious fundamentalists, and a welcome shot of some of the most joyous wide-eyed escapism I’ve created in my career so far.”
Pre-order ”˜To the Bone’ here.
