It looks like Bacardi NH7 Weekender have got all their genres covered with #lineup2016–the annual music festival has announced headliners that include everyone from [much-anticipated] prog artist Steven Wilson (with shows in Shillong and Pune) to veteran American hip hop DJ Premier to metallers Skyharbor (both in Pune). The lineup, which was revealed through the day today, also includes a fair share of Bollywood representation with acts like Shankar Mahadevan with his ”˜My Country My Music’ folk project, Farhan Live and AR Rahman-founded a capella group NAFS.

Apart from Wilson, other big draws include international acts across the board English rockers band Dinosaur Pile up (who performed at the 2014 edition), Swedish indie/folk singer-songwriter José Gonzalez, American electronic music producer RAC, Welsh alt rock band The Joy Formidable and more.

The seventh edition of Weekender keeps its date with Pune [December 2nd to 4th] and will return to Shillong [October 21st and 22nd], but skips Delhi and Bengaluru for the first time since it was introduced in 2012. Expansion is definitely the main focus this year, with Weekender setting up in Hyderabad for the first time, on November 5th and 6th.
