The eighteenth edition of National Law College’s annual band competition will be headlined by bands such as Inner Sanctum, Space Behind The Yellow Room and Baiju Dharmajan Syndicate
As far as legends go, Strawberry Fields Festival is one for the books. Beginning in 1997 with a few students getting together to launch the inter-college band competition, Strawberry Fields quickly scaled up, moving from the sleepy suburb of Nagarbhavi to the iconic Palace Grounds.
Over the years, the festival has showcased some of the best Indian bands including Bhayanak Maut, Goddess Gagged, Motherjane, Demonic Resurrection and Peter Cat Recording Company. The eighteenth edition of the festival, held in association with Pepsi MTV Indies, will feature 40 upcoming and established bands including Apple Quartet, Nurotia and Pineapple Express.
The featured acts on December 13th include New Delhi blues band The Incredible Mindfunk, Bengaluru post-rock band Space Behind The Yellow Room as well as the Kuru Circus and Orchestra, a project by Ari Jayaprakash which is set to a graphic novella. The lineup for December 14th includes acts such as Bengaluru blues band Chronic Blues Circus, Bengaluru death/thrash metal band Inner Sanctum and Kochi-based Carnatic rock band Baiju DharmajanÂ
