You can never run out of enough ways to sing about carpe diem. Shillong pop punk trio Street Stories have released a new single, titled “Stuck In Today,” about procrastinating and roaming around in the sun.
Although the first chorus surprises with synthetic drum beats, the rest of “Stuck In Today,” which was part of the band’s setlist when they played in Mumbai in December last year at the 75th Anniversary Celebrations of Ray Ban, is fuzzy, dreamy and dance-y in all its pop-punk glory. Street Stories throw in a bit power pop in the vein of Weezer and invoke early Arctic Monkeys-style garage rock.
