Strike a Chord with the new HP ENVY 15

The HP ENVY 15 laptop is tailormade to your needs – whether you are a musician, composer, producer or a DJ

Making music just got easier. Talent is still king, of course, but being tech-savvy comes a close second. Over the last two decades, a host of digital music composition and editing apps have upped the ante to a whole new level. Things have gotten to the point where knowing how to effectively use music production software is an indispensable skill for aspiring musicians. And such software is usually quite computing power-intensive, requiring a suitably spec’d machine to run smoothly.

With their slick construction and beautiful build quality, along with the latest multi-core Intel processors, ample RAM and beefy internals, the new ENVY range of HP laptops – launched in India recently – are the go to machine if you’re serious about making music, or even if you are just doing it for fun. Fully compatible with the newest digital music editing applications and with enough connectivity options that will allow you to hook up all your synths and amps, these  new Windows 10-powered laptops are built to work hard and party even harder, all without breaking a sweat.

The ENVY laptops have been designed and built specifically for creative professionals – power users who need big, high-resolution displays, high-end graphics and powerful sound output. While they will also, of course, do PowerPoint presentations and Excel spreadsheets, the ENVY series is fully optimised for computing power-intensive tasks like photo and video editing, graphic design, creating architectural walk-throughs, rendering virtual 3D spaces and, yes, creating and editing music.

Ketan Patel, Managing Director, HP India market said, “We at HP believe in bridging the gap faced by budding creators’ economy in terms of equipping them with the right technology. The new line-up of HP ENVY devices will back the rising performers in unleashing their creativity by expanding their potential.”

Built to Perform

Leading the line-up is the ENVY 15 laptop, which features full aluminium construction and minimalist design, making it seriously cool. Its 4K VESA-certified OLED HDR 15-inch display is the best in the business; things like 400 nits brightness, DCI-P3 colour gamut and 100,000:1 contrast ratio are going to be useful when you’re working on your next music video. Or even while playing games and watching UHD movies. You can even connect the device with up to 3 external displays, this will make hooking up with a studio set up an absolute breeze.

With a 10th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB DDR4 RAM and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 graphics, the HP ENVY 15 is never going to be short of sheer computing power and can easily handle the most demanding of tasks. And this is one laptop that won’t lose its cool anytime soon; there’s a vapour chamber in there and twin 12-volt fans, which prevent heat build-up under heavy use. So no matter how long the recording session is, the ENVY 15 will always be your partner.

For musicians who frequently need to store and share large files, the HP ENVY 15 boasts up to 1TB SSD storage, along with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5. There’s also HP QuickDrop, which allows users to transfer large files quickly and effortlessly to a PC, tablet or iOS/Android smartphone. Imagine being out somewhere, and that elusive tune forms in your head. Just record it on your phone, and QuickDrop it on your ENVY 15 later to work on it.

At its very core, the HP ENVY 15 delivers powerful performance to help you create. With its seamless integration of hardware and software it is a device tailormade to your needs – whether you are a musician, composer, producer or a DJ. And with HP FastCharge, the battery can be charged to 50% in just 45 minutes and, with a full charge, battery life can extend up to 16.5 hours – useful for all-night jamming sessions.

The HP ENVY 15 starts at ₹1,19,990 onwards and is available at select HP world stores across India as well as on their website. For more details on HP ENVY, click here.
