Swarathma To Rock India with Solar-Powered Tour

Swarathma, the trailblazing folk-rock sensation from Bengaluru, is gearing up to rewrite the concert experience playbook with an unprecedented move towards sustainability. In a groundbreaking initiative, the band is set to embark on India’s first-ever multi-city concert tour powered in part by solar and clean energy.
Renowned for their dynamic performances and diverse musical palette, Swarathma is all set to hit the road in support of their eagerly awaited fourth studio album, Raushan. But this tour is more than just a series of gigs—it’s a bold statement for environmental activism and a pledge towards greener entertainment.
Ditching the conventional diesel generators that typically power concert venues, Swarathma will rely on a portable clean energy system throughout their tour. This innovative approach promises not only unforgettable musical experiences but also a sustainable footprint across major cities like Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad, Indore, Guragaon, and Jaipur.
This pioneering initiative was conceived in collaboration with solar energy pioneers Sustain Plus Energy Foundation and SELCO Foundation, along with the expertise of energy storage specialists AmpereHour. Together, they have engineered a revolutionary clean energy power unit that will fuel Swarathma’s performances nationwide.
For Swarathma, this venture isn’t just about music—it’s about setting a new standard for environmentally-conscious entertainment and advocating for sustainable practices within the music industry. With a track record of over two decades of captivating audiences with their vibrant melodies and socially conscious lyrics, Swarathma has always been at the forefront of advocating for environmental causes.
In a statement, the band’s bassist Jishnu Dasgupta said, “As a band we are excited to bring alive a concert experience that is friendlier to the earth. The experience of co-creating this vision with our sustainability and engineering partners has been very enriching., It is almost as much fun as planning the set lists and the concert itself!”
