The EDM artists are slated to play in Bengaluru and Mumbai in September as part of Sunburn’s arena shows
EDM’s top DJ trio Swedish House Mafia, comprising Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello, bowed out at the top of their game earlier this year, with their One Last Tour including stops in Mumbai, Bengaluru and Delhi. While Angello went on to perform as a solo DJ, Axwell and Ingrosso have teamed up to perform together and will release an album later this year.
With the announcement of the duo performing together came in early June, along with their debut gig at the New York City Governor’s Ball, Axwell /\ Ingrosso are set to perform their third gig together in India, featuring everything from SFX and pyrotechnics in addition to new EDM tracks in Mumbai on September 26th and in Bengaluru on September 27th.
Ahead of Axwell’s headlining set at Sunburn’s 2013 edition in Goa, the DJ spoke to us about his first impression of India, saying, “It was the surprise of coming to such a different place and people liking what I did. That was such a surprise and I really was like ”“ what? I came all this way to such a country that was so different from my country and they liked the same music! That was the first impression and it was just crazy, and I had to come back!”
Axwell /\ Ingrosso will perform at Supernova arena and convention center in Bengaluru, while venue details for the Mumbai show are yet to be announced. Tickets are on sale for Rs 2,200 (early bird) and Rs 4,500 (VIP) for the Bengaluru show, while ticket prices for the Mumbai show range from Rs 2,500 (early bird) to Rs 3,000 (general admission) and Rs 5,500 (VIP).
