Taba Chake Wanders New Paths in ‘Khud Ko Miloon’ Video, Announces World Tour
The Arunachal singer-songwriter will release his new album in September
Arunachal Pradesh singer-songwriter Taba Chake hops into the back of a truck and journeys through India in the music video for “Khud Ko Miloon,” a song about self-discovery that’s also the title track from his upcoming second album.
Directed by Goa-based filmmaker and photographer Mohit Kapil, the gentle Hindi song gets a roving music video that sees Chake travel across the valleys in his home state of Arunachal, the dunes of Rajasthan, the bustle of Mumbai and the verdant coasts of Kerala.
A press release for the tender, singalong song describes it as a call to “slow down, return to the present moment and reconnect with the deep emotions that make us human.” It adds, “It asks us to sit with the stillness inside us, where the truest answers often wait. Through this single, he offers a journey back to ourselves, a reminder of who we really are when everything else is stripped away.”
Slated to release in September, the album Khud Ko Miloon is described as “very close to his heart.” A press release adds, “For Taba, it is not like most modern music made for trends or short-term attention. Instead, it carries unfiltered emotions and real music. At its core, Khud Ko Miloon is about finding yourself after losing your way, about piecing yourself back together when life has scattered you apart.”
Chake’s new album is his first since his breakout 2019 debut album Bombay Dreams, which featured songs like “Shaayad,” “Aao Chalein” and “Walk With Me.” While Chake has taken over stages across India in the years since, he’s also had an eye on exploring global listenership with his English songs, like the 2023 single “Halfway.”
On the domestic front, however, he did also compose and sing the music for the 2024 film I Want To Talk, starring Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan and was recently announced as a Brand Ambassador of the Department of Art & Culture in Arunachal Pradesh.
The launch of the album will come just as Chake heads out on a world tour through Europe and the U.S. and Canada from September to November. The Khud Ko Miloon World Tour kicks off on Sept. 27 in Amsterdam, traveling through the U.K. and Scotland in October and resumes in the U.S. on Nov. 4, 2025 in Boston, as part of a seven-city North American leg that ends on Nov. 15 in San Francisco.
