The UK-based experimental fusion artist headlines the two-day event

The festival season isn’t done quite yet. Here’s another reason to stay put in Goa: tabla player and electronica artist Talvin Singh is heading down from London to play at Groove Temple Live on January 4th in Goa.
For his set at the event, Singh will perform material from his forthcoming EP and album as well as a medley featuring tracks such as “Butterfly” from his Mercury Prize winning album, OK.
Singh, whose last performance in Goa was in 2010, has plans to perform in Mumbai as well, as part of the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival. “I will be performing and curating a three-hour marathon session at the Kala Ghoda Festival in February. This will include collaborations with [concert pianist] Utsav Lal and [playback singer] Roop Kumar Rathod,” says Singh.
Talvin Singh performs at Groove Temple Live at Hilltop, Vagator, Goa on January 4th, 2013. Folk funk artist Vicckey Goswami and Mumba–based singer Ankur Tewari will also perform. Prem Joshua and band perform on January 3rd as part of Groove Temple Live. Entry Rs 600 per day. Event details here.
