Tate McRae Wants Your ‘2 Hands’ on Electro-Pop New Single

The Canadian pop star announced her third album So Close to What earlier today

Following her album and tour announcement earlier today, Tate McRae has dropped her a new single, “2 hands.” The pop star worked on “2 hands” with an all-star team of hitmakers: Ryan Tedder, Lostboy and Amy Allen. It’s an electro-pop love song, with McRae requesting “a little less talk/and a lot more touch.” On the chorus she sings, “I just want your two hands on me at all times baby/If you let go, better put ’em right back, fast.” Sean Bankhead (Cardi B, Victoria Monét) directed the video, which sees the singer touring through suburbia.

“‘2 hands’ shows a different side of me than what people are used to,” McRae shared in a statement. “The song captures the feeling of falling in love and how sometimes just being close to someone is all you really need. A genuine connection goes beyond needing constant reassurance or fancy things, simply being together is what matters.”

Along with announcing her album today, the 21-year-old also revealed that she will embark on a massive 50-date world tour. Kicking off in March, McRae will hit the road around North America, South America, Europe and the UK. She’ll be joined by Zara Larsson in the Americas while Benee will open for her in Europe and the UK.
