Electronic music duo Tech Panda and Kenzani have announced their debut album Tijori and you can hear the first song – “Sada” with producer Blu Attic and vocalist Aaromal Rajendrababu – a day ahead of its release on July 18 via Groovebird Records.
The “Dilbar” hitmakers have been taking the singles route for a while now but Tijori involved a “process of going back to their roots,” a press release says. It also meant returning to the origins of the DJ-producers’ collaboration in the first place.
“Sada” then arrives like an introspection on the dancefloor, with the beats and progressions weaving in and out of the near-five-minute track. The duo comprising Rupinder Nanda and Kedar Santwani says in a statement, “‘Sada’ was chosen as our first release because it displays the power of the current Indian electronica scene.”
They add about the process, “We have released over a hundred tracks in the last few years and it’s time we push the rising, next-gen talent. Pushing the envelope in terms of fusing two worlds, ‘Sada’ is the best first step forward of uncovering the multi-layered album called Tijori.”
Tijori is described as a 21-track album by Tech Panda and Kenzani that is an “unabashed nod to their love for Indian classical music, folk melodies, and electronic music.”
