Techno/House Festival Locals District Returns for Third Edition
The three-day event in Rajasthan brings together German veteran DJ Hell, Canadian DJ-producer John Acquaviva, New Delhi’s Midival Punditz and more
Out in the heritage Kalwar castle built in the 18th Century near Jaipur, techno fans will congregate for the third edition of Locals District, the electronic music festival that runs from February 21st to 23rd.
The lineup this year includes Indian electronic frontrunners such as Midival Punditz, Sanjay Dutta, Bullzeye, Hamza, Zokhuma, plus an international billing of veterans as well as hotly tipped new DJ-producers in the techno and house circuit. Across more than four stages, there’s German veteran DJ Hell, the return of U.K.’s Tom Gillieron (who has previously performed at Ragasthan in 2014), Thailand DJ-producer Nakadia, Italian-Canadian techno veteran John Acquaviva, French-origin artist Kiko and experimental artists like Black Merlin.
Other noteworthy names on the lineup include house DJ Bahaar, Kolkata DJ-producer Deep Brown, Jaipur-bred DJ Def, Mumbai DJ-producer Kali Mirch, New Delhi’s Oryza, house and disco DJ Roan Sable, Japanese sibling duo Sudo, Brazilian producer Terr aka Daniela Caldellas and more.
The venue includes rooms for festival attendees but there’s also options to pitch your own tent or go the glamping route in their tent city called Harlem.
