The song is off the Dimapur-based singer-songwriter forthcoming full-length debut album ‘Hello Love’
Since we last wrote about Dimapur-based singer-songwriter Temsu Clover when she released her elegant single “Dumplings for the Sad” in 2021, the musician has gone on to drop a few more singles, was part of NEXA Music’s Season 2 Top 24 and she jokes that she’s also continued wolfing down a lot of dumplings. Clover says, “I have been making music, learning and doing a few things outside my music space as well.”
Earlier this year, Clover released the acoustic-leaning track entitled “Sally Forth” and is now out with the indie-pop offering called “Lost in My Own Town.” Both tracks are set to appear on the singer-songwriter’s upcoming eight-track debut album Hello Love. According to Clover, “’Lost In My Own Town’ is a song about trying to find your way yet getting lost and accepting the way things are as you can continue to find your way back again.” Sonically, Clover’s lush vocals shine throughout as dream-pop soundscapes color the track.
The rest of the songs on the album are set to be released in pairs later this month before the whole record comes out on October 25th. Clover says, “This album is an unplanned concept album [laughs]. Everything just fell into place as they needed to be. All the songs in the album have different stories but all of it are based on the concept of love.” Once Hello Love is out of the way, Clover plans on releasing a few more singles and performing live too. She says, “I am just truly enjoying making music.”
