Trust the inappropriately hilarious Jack Black to stir up things when least expected. Six years after his band Tenacious D’s debacle, Pick of Destiny that was also a forgettable movie Tenacious D and The Pick of Destiny, the duo of Black and Kyle Gass have announced a comeback. The band is busy recording new material for their upcoming album, Rize of The Fenix, slated to release on May 15th on Sony music.

With that, Tenacious D has also announced a US and UK tour on their website . In the meantime, they released a promo video for their new video, shot like a Hollywood Investigator style biography featuring Dave Grohl (who has also recorded drums on the album), Josh Groban and Val Kilmer.
