The eighth edition of the multi-genre fundraiser gig in Himachal Pradesh returns, featuring artists from around the country
The birdsong in the picturesque mountains of Kasauli, stepped in history and verdure, is going to get a whole lot more euphonious with the advent of the Kasauli Rhythm and Blues Festival (KRBF) which will be returning to the HP valley’s Baikunth Resort for its eighth edition on April 19th and 20th. Organized by the Genesis Foundation to “save little hearts,” the funds raised at the long-running festival will be used in the treatment of critically ill and underprivileged children with congenital heart disorders.
This year’s lineup features Kerala-based fusion outfit Thaikkudam Bridge; traditional Punjabi folk-electronic duo Hari & Sukhmani; New Delhi rock veterans Parikrama; Maati Baani’s fusion folk, pop, funk & blues; Mumbai-based soul, R&B and jazz band Shubhangi Joshi Collective; pop/soul vocalist Soundarya Jayachandran and cross-genre mash-up masters Bryden-Parth, who will be performing at the elevated haven.
The KRBF is bound to be a hub for musicians, musical enthusiasts and regular folk as it promises a diverse pool of established artists as well as talented new kids on the block — all gathered for a cause. Tickets range from Rs 7,850 for a day pass for adults to Rs 9,500 for a season ticket to attend both days.
