Indian Adaptation of ‘Temptation Island’ Set To Stream on JioCinema

JioCinema is set to release the Indian adaptation of Temptation Island.
The American reality TV series follows several couples who agree to live with a group of singles, in order to test the ultimate strength of their relationships.
The Indian version of the series will be produced by Banijay Asia.
“We understand the pulse of our audiences and take pride in delivering exceptional, category-defining entertainment across genres,” a Viacom18 spokesperson said in a press release.
They added: “JioCinema’s Bigg Boss OTT had a phenomenal run and with the India chapter of the hugely successful Temptation Island, we will further strengthen our unscripted portfolio.”
According to Deadline, the format of the show will “focus on relationships and human emotions… is expected to strike a chord with Indian viewers, offering them a unique and compelling viewing experience.”
There’s no launch date for the show yet, but JioCinema said it would “soon premiere,” with Too Yumm attached as a sponsor.
Temptation Island is the latest show to be added to JioCinema’s roster. Earlier this year, the network snapped streaming rights to the Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket and programming from Warner Bros Discovery and NBCUniversal.
