Set on the beautiful island of Jeju against the sea and the Jeju oilfield, Our Blues will chronicle the daily lives of ordinary people, their relationships, pasts, and present. The omnibus narrative style of the drama will be something unique featuring multiple characters with multiple stories rolled into one.

‘Lee Dongseok’ (Lee Byunghun), a truck salesman is a native of Jeju, A rustic who falls for ‘Min Sunah’ (Shin Minah). Min is a visitor with a backstory no one knows. Meanwhile, ‘Choi Hansu’ (Cha Seungwon), born and brought up in Jeju returns to his hometown and chances upon ‘Jung Eunhee’ (Lee Jungeun), his first love. Jung, a fish store owner on the island is friends with ‘Go Miran’ (Uhm Junghwa) who has come back to Jeju being tired of the humdrum city. ‘Lee Youngok’ (Han Jimin) is a haenyo harvesting sea life. She’s a bubbly person who becomes the object of affection of ‘Park Jungjoon’ (Kim Woobin), a benevolent ship captain. Added to these, there are other individuals whose lives are interwoven, piquing interest in what kind of relationships they will form.

The main poster of Our Blues includes all the 14 characters posing for the camera. Their happy faces are indicative of a lighthearted story waiting to happen. The poster text, “Happy living all of us!” solidifies the warm vibe, the note of optimism, and the hope for a better tomorrow inherent in the story. Written by Noh Heekyung, and helmed by director Kim Gyutae, Our Blues is a tale of people who leave their pasts to reinvent the present towards a second chance for a happy ending.

The best element of this production is the stellar cast, which includes Shin Minah and Lee Byunghun reuniting onscreen for the first time in a long time, as well as Kim Woobin, who makes his long-awaited return to the small screen after Uncontrollably Fond with Bae Suzy in 2016. Our Blues is set to be released on April 9th of this year.
