His 2016 milestones can put any music veteran to shame ””in addition to playing shows across India and outside, he’s been on the cover of ROLLING STONE India, featured on BBC (on their Asian Network show, Fire In The Booth) and released a viral anthem: “Jungli Sher” has crossed one million views. But his biggest high this year was opening for his childhood idol, American producer DJ Premier, at Bacardi NH7 Weekender in Pune this month. “That’s the best thing that’s happened to me. I used to freestyle to his beats as a kid,” says the 25-year-old signed to Sony Music India.

Divine plans on ending the year on an explosive note””a collab with Indian-American rapper Raja Kumari is in the works, along with solo singles, and an album he hopes to release in 2017.
