'Battle Born' single gets simple yet affecting clip
Headlights speeding down a lonesome highway at night; a shot of Brandon Flowers staring longingly at the Las Vegas skyline; the Killers performing against a black background as wisps of digital smoke emanate from their fists-in-the-air rockage ”“ you get all that and more in the clip for the Vegas group’s new stadium-sized single, “Runaways.” The track will appear on the group’s upcoming record Battle Born. “It gets harder as you get older,” Flowers told Rolling Stone recently of the challenges the band faced while recording the album. “You want to put in the same effort, and find the same focus you had when you knew you didn’t want to work at the casino anymore. We’re working it out.”
