The Lightyears Explode Premier “The P-Man Explodes” Music Video

The Mumbai punk rock band gets a lesson in swag by Rohit P-Man Pereira

Published by

If you attended the last two gigs by Mumbai punk rockers The Lightyears Explode, you know just how they like to run the show ”“ jumping around, inciting mosh pits and singalongs. They also have been including the occasional guest, including scene funnyman and electronica act Vice Versa’s frontman Rohit P-Man Pereira.

Pereira collaborated with The Lightyears Explode on the track “The P-Man Explodes” on their debut full-length, The Revenge of Kalicharan, and now he gets on board for the music video, where members Saurabh Roy (guitars), Shalom  Benjamin (bass) and Aaron Carvalho (drums) get a swag masterclass by Pereira in a seedy room with B-movie posters and lights with crazy filters. Directed by freelance videographer Tanvi Gandhi, the video opens with the band’s manager Himanshu Vaswani pushing the band to prep up their stage act to draw more fans, which is also how they show up at P-Man’s den. We’re assuming this is an alternate reality version of the band, and suggest you come see the band on August 15th at 3 Wise Monkeys, Mumbai for proof of their following.
