The Road To GIF Kicks Off Next Weekend

The Chennai art and music festival features rock and hip-hop acts, a flea market and an open mic

Chennai art and music festival The Road to GIF (Global Isai Festival) is set to take place on November 30th and December 1st. The two-day event is a lead up to the ninth edition of GIF which will take place in February 2020, featuring artists across genres and from around the world.

On the lineup for The Road to GIF are Bengaluru jazz/rock quartet Jatayu, Mysore ambient rockers Sawan, Chennai singer-songwriter Siennor, Bengaluru rock duo Iram, Chennai hip-hop group Maanjah Boys, Guwahati heavy metallers Eclipse and more. 

The festival will also host a range of paintings and art installations. The flea market will bear vibrant offerings across food, beverages, fashion and handicrafts. There will also be an open mic session for comedians, poets, storytellers and beatboxers.

The Road to GIF festival takes place on November 30th and December 1st at Buck’s Amphitheatre, Chennai. The day pass is priced at Rs. 200. Entry to the flea market is free. Click here to book passes
