The Third Edition of The Indies Awards Announce Winners

Sunflower Tape Machine, Saptak Chatterjee and The F16s took home two prizes each

The likes of Chennai indie-rock band The F16s and solo artist Aryaman Singh aka Sunflower Tape Machine as well as New Delhi vocalist-composer Saptak Chatterjee all bagged a couple of honors at the third edition of The Indies, the digital award show for India’s independent music scene.

Across numerous categories, artists with releases from January 1st, 2021 and March 31st, 2022 were in the running for this year’s Indies. While New Delhi hip-hop duo Seedhe Maut won Artist of the Year, Ahmedabad bassist and producer Raag Sethi picked up the award for Producer of the Year. Mojo Jojo clinched Electronic / Dance Album of the Year for Andarrated whereas Pune easy listening group Easy Wanderlings took home Rock / Blues / Alternative Song of the Year for their track “Enemy.”

Drummer of the Year went to Mumbai’s Darshan Doshi, Bassist of the Year was won by Sharad Rao, Keyboardist of the Year was given to Anindo Bose and Abhay Nayampally won for Guitarist of the Year.
