Mumbai-based pop band will cover nine cities between July and September
The Yellow Diary are heading out on a nine-city India tour on the back of promoting their new song “Kahe Kahe,” starting Jul. 20 and ending Sept. 28.
The Kahe Kahe Tour will run on as The Yellow Diary will release two more new songs, “Chad Jaave” and
“Aqda” as part of a three-song EP. The songs are expected to drop 45 days apart, with the next one coming on Jul. 29 and the third song out on Sept. 12, 2024.
The playful, slinky and groovy new love song “Kahe Kahe” comes with a music video by production Metafilms and directed by Mitali Solanki, showcasing a newly-wed couple going through highs and lows all in the span of the day they celebrate their union.
The Yellow Diary’s Kahe Kahe Tour – produced by event organizers LiveBox and entertainment company Look What’s Happening (LWH) – kicks off on Jul. 20 in Gurugram, followed by shows in Jaipur (Jul. 21), Mumbai (Aug. 10), Indore (Aug. 11), Kolkata (Aug. 23), Guwahati (Aug. 24), Bengaluru (Sept. 21), Hyderabad (Sept. 22) and Pune (Sept. 28). Tickets for all nine shows are now on sale via Skillbox.
The band said in a post on Instagram, “We’re beyond thrilled to bring you the #KaheKaheTour! We’re hitting 9 cities across the country and can’t wait to be back on the road, sharing unforgettable moments and creating new memories with all of you.”
In a description for their new song, The Yellow Diary – comprising singer-songwriter Rajan Batra, producer Himonshu Parikh, bassist Stuart DaCosta, drummer Sahil Shah and guitarist Harshvardhan Gadhvi – call “Kahe Kahe” as a celebratory one. “The song celebrates this unique, almost magical connection between two people. In a world of chaos and ever growing noise, this invisible thread binds them in comfort and understanding. Sometimes all it takes is a glance to make you feel alright,” the description reads.
