December is still a few months away, but it looks like Enchanted Valley Carnival [EVC] is the first of the three reigning electronic music festivals to play their cards first among their counterparts in Sunburn and VH1 Supersonic. The three-day music festival’s third edition will be headlined by two of the top DJs ”“ UK producer Norman Cook aka Fatboy Slim and Dutch producer Tiesto.

Tiesto, once the world’s number one DJ alongside the likes of Armin van Buuren and David Guetta, will make his third visit to the country, following his debut in Hyderabad in 2007 and later for the 2013 edition of Sunburn in Goa. The DJ is coming in to promote his 2014 album A Town Called Paradise, hot on a Grammy win for his remix of pop singer John Legend’s hit “All of Me.”

Fatboy Slim, on the other hand, is making his second visit to India, following his 2012 tour, which included shows in Gurgaon and Bengaluru. Get ready to hear hits such as “Weapon of Choice,” “The Rockafeller Skank,” “Eat Sleep Rave Repeat” and “The Joker.”

EVC has also announced that one of last year’s co-headliners, Dutch DJ Ferry Corsten [who performed with German DJ Markus Schulz at EVC as New World Punx] will be curating an entire stage’s lineup as part of his concept Full On, which started out in 2007. At EVC, Ferry will pick the artists performing back-to-back sets.

With EVC slated to take place between December 18th and 20th in the township of Aamby Valley near Pune, the festival’s organizers ”“ Twisted Entertainment ”“ announced at a press conference today that it has tied up with Universal Music Group South Asia, in what is one of the first ventures to include a major record label in the music festival space. Stay tuned for the full lineup.

Tickets to the festival are already on sale, with general admission passes priced at Rs 4,960 and VIP passes at Rs 10,540 excluding camping. Buy tickets here.
