“All will be revealed in due time,” actor says of the rumors he’s moonlighting as a balaclava-covered rapper

Timothée Chalamet addressed (but didn’t answer) the rumors that he is the mysterious U.K. rapper EsDeeKid in a new radio interview.
In recent months, fans have speculated that the Marty Supreme actor has been moonlighting online as the balaclava-covered rapper who has U.K. hits like “Phantom” and “4 Raws” under his belt.
When confronted with the EsDeeKid allegations in a radio interview with the U.K.’s Heart, Chalamet first attempted to sidestep the rumors.
“I got no comment on that,” Chalamet said before adding, “I got two words on that … Two words … All will be revealed in due time.”
It’s more than two words, but perhaps the “due time” Chalamet is referring to EsDeeKid’s upcoming tour of the U.S. and Australia, where the rapper has booked bigger venues — New York’s Bowery Ballroom, Los Angeles’ Roxy Theater — than you’d expect from an otherwise obscure new artist.
Chalamet did fess up to having the rap name “Lil Timmy Tim” when he was 12. “Lil Timmy does not have the same ring to it,” the actor said, successfully changing the subject from EsDeeKid. “Lil Timmy sounds like something else.”
Neither Chalamet nor EsDeeKid has concretely commented on whether they are the same person or different people, with the evidence of them both being Chalamet (they both shop at the same scarf shop, they both had consecutive “ee” in their names) outweighed by the fact that the name on EsDeeKid’s CashApp profile is something different entirely.
