South Korean group TOMORROW X TOGETHER are set to return on January 27th with their fifth EP, The Name Chapter: Temptation. The album will be led by the single “Sugar Rush Ride” and an accompanying music video. The quintet have now unveiled a highlight reel to preview each track off the upcoming EP.
The Name Chapter: Temptation comprises a total of five songs– in addition to “Sugar Rush Ride” the record features “Devil by the Window,” “Happy Fools (feat. Coi Leray),” “Tinnitus (Wanna Be a Rock),” and “Farewell, Neverland.” According to a press release, “Sugar Rush Ride” will be a ‘dreamlike and sexy alternative pop track’ about a boy who falls into the temptations of the devil.
The preview–which dropped on Youtube on 22nd January– is a stunning collection of visuals that showcase the mood of each track and the overall theme of the album. TXT have always highlighted the various stages and journeys of youth in their artistry through a lens of fantasy and The Name Chapter: Temptation seems to continue this legacy by taking a step into Peter Pan’s Neverland. The clips feature the members standing in front of a window and exploring fantastical lands of magic–much like the Lost Boys. However, as indicated by the title of the last track on the record “Farewell, Neverland,” The Name Chapter: Temptation is a signal that youth must come to an end as adulthood approaches.
All five members of the group have participated in the production process for the tracks on The Name Chapter: Temptation, with Taehyun clocking in two credits and Yeonjun three. The EP also features a collaboration with American rapper Coi Leray and songwriting and production credits from the group’s frequent collaborators, ‘Hitman’ Bang (aka Bang Sihyuk, founder of Big Hit Entertainment), Slow Rabbit, Cazzi Opeia and more.
