“Can We Do This?” by Speakers Corner Quartet featuring Sampha on vocals may possibly be the dopest track of the year. The London-based group that brings together elements of electronica, hip-hop and jazz seamlessly really nailed it on this. “The beat was made when my best mate had died by suicide, actually two of my best friends killed themselves in 2019” shared Biscuit, the band’s flutist and beatmaker with Rolling Stone India. “I made that beat with Sampha in mind and hearing it come together with his vocals on top, I was in tears”. Some tracks end up meaning as much to the audience as they do to the band and this is certainly one of those.
