Turn It Up To 11: Akshay Rajpurohit of Scribe, Pangea

As far as transitions go, guitarist Akshay Rajpurohit went from nu-metal [Skincold] to hardcore/fun metal [Scribe] and instrumental, prog metal [Pangea] ever since he was part of the metal community. It’s no wonder his Turn It Up To 11 playlist has a mix of everything from ambient to metalcore.

Pure trap. Paper Diamond has a knack for creating unforgettable tunes. Whenever I miss the frequency spectrum under 100 Hz, I know exactly what I want. #baked

 

Huoratron ”“ “Cryptocracy”

This is EDM’s answer to death metal. That’s all I can say. Actually, I want to add some more: this song is freaking insane. The video is insane-r. I’d recommend the whole album, actually. Make sure you ain’t epileptic, though.

 

Gas ”“ “Discovery”

Gas 0095 [1995] was an album that destroyed every notion I had about ambient music. It’s haunting, airy, vibey and evolves majestically. I haven’t a doubt in my mind why the record cost upwards of $450 at one point in time.

 

Killswitch Engage ”“ “In Due Time”

America’s Soilworkers are back, and they sound fantastic. Jesse Leach is destroying it and man, he doesn’t suck [pun intended]. I like the song because… riffs.

 

C2C ”“ “Down The Road”

I rarely like turntablist music, but these guys are different. Combining hip hop, house and some feel good inc. in everything they’ve made so far. This song has such a nice feel to it; I think it’s a pillow.
