UEFA Euro 2008

[Two stars] PC/ EA SPORTS Rs 999

Published by

EA loves celebrating occasions king-size and with every major sporting event; we are loaded with another game on the extravaganza. UEFA Euro 2008 is no different. It’s based on the FIFA 2008 engine. But what a bummer ”“ it’s just the same old game in a new version.

UEFA EURO 2008 gives you the once in a life time opportunity to compete for the coveted EURO 2008 title and lift the virtual cup. It’s just like the real thing ”“ you win the qualifying round which makes up the basic stage, and then move onto higher stages before reaching the finals. The only new addition to the game is the modes such as Be a Pro Mode, Captain Your Country(take a B level player and work his way up to captain the nation). You can perform basic tricks: flicks, step over, feints (something that’s been a part of every FIFA) and although the game has more polished goal celebration, player entry, few interesting cut-scenes, and a sub-par commentary. Save the stash for the new FIFA 2009 and Pro Evolution Soccer which will be on shelves in the coming months.
