Formed in March 2012, Unohu is a three-piece alternative rock band based in Mumbai. The band initially began with brothers, Sarthak Karkare (Vocals and guitar) and Shashwat Karkare (Drums), jamming in their room. The third member, Yohann Coutinho (Bass), joined the duo after meeting Sarthak Karake in college. One of their memorable gigs recently was at the crowdfunded annual gig series Control Alt Delete in Mumbai in October last year. The band hasn’t released an EP as of yet, mainly working on singles such as “Parachute,” which they released in May 2013. Their single “Caught Between A Rock And Your Face” featured on Stupiditties 666: Satan Lives! released by indie label ennui.BOMB. Their influences include the likes of prog rock bands Porcupine Tree and Karnivool and alt rockers Incubus.
