VH1 Supersonic vs Sunburn Goa: The Saga Continues

Bombay High Court issues order to LIVE Viacom 18 to reapply for permission for VH1 Supersonic festival to be held in Candolim

Soon after festival organizers LIVE Viacom 18 (VH1 Supersonic) and Percept (Sunburn) announced plans for their festivals, there seems to be a new twist yet again. VH1 Supersonic won possession over the Candolim venue (previously Sunburn’s), but a recent news report  of the Bombay High Court having issued an order asking the organizers, LIVE Viacom 18, to file a fresh application for permissions for the venue again within the next four days indicates that the North Goa EDM war is still on. While Jaideep Singh, Sr. Vice President and Business Head, INS, Viacom18, has been quoted saying that VH1 Supersonic will be held according to plan, this new court order may just make it a tense countdown to the festivals.

VH1 Supersonic recently announced their lineup which showcases a mix of genres and artists including Above & Beyond, Booka Shade, Benny Benassi, BT, Ferry Corsten and more. Sunburn Goa announced its big plans to scale up their festival in Vagator right after.
