Mumbai musician Vishal Dadlani, from electro-rockers Pentagram and one half of songwriting duo Vishal & Shekhar, took to Twitter yesterday to warn artists from making remixes of his songs.

After finding out about the reuse of “Saki Saki” from the 2004 thriller Musafir was reworked for this year’s mystery drama Batla House, Dadlani discovered that more songs he’s worked on are in the pipeline to be remade. He said via his social media, “I hear upcoming bastardisations include ‘Dus Bahaane,’ ‘Deedaar De,’ ‘Sajnaji Vaari Vaari,’ ‘Desi Girl’ & more [sic].”

Dadlani further warned artists by saying, “Do NOT remix Vishal and Shekhar songs without our permission, due credit & remuneration. I will come for you hard, legally. Especially the musicians doing it. This will become very, very personal, even if you are a friend [sic].”
