The track serves as a pre-release for his upcoming sophomore studio album, 'Love and Fight'
South Korean rapper, songwriter, producer and VIXX member Ravi returns with a brand new single titled “Virus,” featuring rapper JUSTHIS. The track serves as a pre-release for his upcoming sophomore studio album, Love and Fight.
Written and produced by Ravi, the lyrics grieve a love lost as he raps, “I wanna be a love virus/ Your own problem/ Shout and throw it all away/ You can look at me like I’m dying/ Don’t hide it, tell me everything/ Will you get over anger and love me?/ Love virus.” There’s a desperation and anger in his signature deep vocals as he attempts to convince his partner to mend the broken relationship with him.
The music video keeps it simple with both rappers performing the track while standing upon a frozen lake, snow falling gently around them. The clip alternates between shots at the lake and Ravi’s warm memories of spending time with his love interest.
Love and Fight, which drops on February 8th, features 11 tracks including “Virus,” the lead single “Winner” (featuring rapper Ash Island) and Ravi’s December release “Ani” with girl group (G)I-dle’s leader, Soyeon. The LP follows his 2021 EP Roses. The rapper and producer is also set to perform live at his upcoming concert ‘Revoir’ which will take place from February 25th to February 27th in Seoul.
In addition to being a musician, Ravi is the founder and CEO of two labels, Groovl1n (home to Cold Bay, Chillin Homie and Xydo) and The L1ve (Mamamoo’s Wheein and Ailee.)
