Watch Aaron Paul Join ‘Westworld’ in Futuristic Season Three Trailer

‘Breaking Bad’ star will appear in latest installment of HBO series, which returns in 2020

Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul will join Westworld‘s upcoming third season, as previewed in a new trailer for the sci-fi Western series. The teaser, aired before the Game of Thrones finale, shows Paul’s character moving through a futuristic world before coming face to face with Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) in a dark alley.

“Sometimes, it seems like the world looks alright,” Paul voices in the trailer. “Like they put a coat of paint on it. But inside it’s rotting to pieces. They said they would make a better world — smooth away the rough edges. But that was a lie. I guess the rough edges are the only thing I’m hanging onto … I think if I’m going to get on with my life, I’m going to have to find something, someone, real.”

The clip, set to Pink Floyd’s “Brain Damage,” doesn’t reveal much about Season Three’s plot. But it’s full of intriguing sequences — including a fistfight against a psychedelic backdrop and Paul staring down a gun. The trailer also showcases several other cast members, including Lena Waithe, Kid Cudi (Scott Mescudi) and Marshawn Lynch.

HBO confirmed that Westworld will return in 2020 but has yet to announce a specific release date.
