Watch Ariana Grande’s Stunning ‘Dangerous Woman’ at MTV Movie Awards

Pop star turns latest pop anthem into a devastating, piano-driven ballad

Ariana Grande turned her latest pop anthem, “Dangerous Woman” into a staggering, piano-driven ballad at the MTV Movie Awards.

Ariana Grande performed a smokey, soulful rendition of her new single “Dangerous Woman” at the MTV Movie Awards.

Donning a long, pink gown and backed by just a piano, Grande effectively turned the outsized awards bonanza into an intimate lounge show. But there was nothing stripped down about her vocal performance, which found Grande easily traipsing through vocal runs that showcased her impressive control and staggering range.

Grande released the single in early March along with details about her upcoming third album of the same name. That same week, she served as host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live where she performed the house-y “Be Alright,” as well. In late March, the first of potentially multiple “visuals” for “Dangerous Woman” was unveiled.

Dangerous Woman follows up her 2014 sophomore effort My Everything. She spent her 2015 touring in support of the album and began teasing new music with the October single “Focus” featuring uncredited vocals from Jamie Foxx. In December, she surprised fans with the trap-holiday EP Christmas & Chill.
