Armaan Malik’s career is the stuff that pop star dreams are made of. In a year alone, he’s packed in an Ed Sheeran collab (“2Step”), a single with Korean-American biggie Eric Naam (“Echo”) and a bevy of Bollywood and independent songs. Add to these glittering accolades a fanatical fan following on social media — ‘Armaanians’ rule Twitter and Instagram —  and you have an Indian star who is on the cusp of a global breakout.

“I really can’t explain this feeling…I don’t take my name, or what I have achieved too seriously. I am just smashing one goal after the other — all that I have dreamt of. I am on this path of music, making sure I am making amazing songs and putting out my artistry, and the rest is just happening as part of the process,” says the 26-year-old singer, composer. Malik is the third, and youngest, guest on our latest music show Rolling Stone ICONS, presented in association with JBL and Beatoven.ai.

Hosted by Nirmika Singh (Executive Editor, Rolling Stone India) the show is designed as a gateway to India’s most creative minds. Besides Malik, Rolling Stone ICONS features A.R. Rahman, Amit Trivedi, Raja Kumari and Salim Merchant
