Detroit rapper drops latest video on same day new LP 'I Decided' arrives
On the day Big Sean dropped his new album I Decided, the Detroit rapper also revealed his mesmerizing, unnerving “Halfway Off the Balcony” video.
Lit in vibrant neons and borrowing from the I Decided cover art, the “Halfway Off the Balcony” video sees Big Sean engaging in the warping of time and identity, with the rapper often body-swapping with an old man throughout the clip as he reconciles with his girlfriend or dodges his mother’s phone calls.
The single’s video arrives a day after the Detroit rapper controversially threatened Donald Trump with an icepick in a Hot 97 freestyle; when I Decided dropped, it was revealed that guest Eminem called the president a “bitch” on “No Favors.”
I Decided also features cameos by Migos, The-Dream and Jeremih as well as production from Metro Boomin, DJ Mustard and Travis Scott.
“I know what it feels like to be the underdog, to know you’re full potential and it not be recognized,” the rapper tweeted hours before his LP was released. “All I can say is keep going, earn it! I got tears of joy in eyes, thankful to share this music. Thank you for giving me this moment.”
