A week after dropping their record-breaking digital single “Butter,” global pop sensations BTS unwind and cut loose in the first remix of the track, “Butter (Hotter Remix”).” The new version of “Butter” takes an EDM spin on the original’s Eighties-inspired dance pop sound, presenting house-synth beats and a jazzy-interlude.

Filmed at the exact set where the chorus of the original track was shot, the music video for “Butter (Hotter Remix)” has no crisp choreography, but sees BTS being their chaotic, funny selves. The members take turns making playful expressions at the camera as they perform their respective parts, while the rest of the group engage in various activities in the background and/or hype each other up. Ending on an endearing and goofy note, the music video also features a light-hearted and entertaining dance outtake reminiscent of BTS’ old dance practice videos.

Since its release, “Butter” has bagged multiple global records, including biggest 24 hour music video debut (108.2 million views,) biggest music video premiere on YouTube (3.9 million concurrent viewers,) biggest debut on Spotify Global (over 11 million streams in 24 hours) and has received the largest single-day streams in Spotify’s history.

BTS’ winning streak also continued at the Billboard Music Awards earlier this week, with the septet taking home four awards, including Top Song Sales Artist and Top Selling Song for their 2020 hit, “Dynamite.”
