The South Korean rookie group return with their third EP 'Season 3. Hideout: Be Our Voice'
South Korean rookie group Cravity returned with their third EP Season 3. Hideout: Be Our Voice and its lead single “My Turn” on January 19th. The record is the third instalment in their Hideout album series which outlines their journey from trainees to K-pop stars and the development of their relationship with one another to form a powerful team.
“My Turn” in particular is an ambitious and strong trap-synth track that celebrates Cravity’s determination to rise to the top and be the best in the game, break all barriers that come in their way: “It’s the moment I’ve been waiting for/ I have to go, even if it’s a dead-end, work that/ Ooh right now/ I don’t need anything else.” The track was written by singer-songwriter EXY from Cosmic Girls (WJSN) and produced by Ryan S. Jhun, known for his work on tracks by Twice, Red Velvet, SHINee, NCT and more.
The music video highlights the spirit of competition and victory with all nine members dressed as racers and basketball players as they nail their high-energy choreography. They score basket after basket and win race after race with determination, a metaphor for their rise in the K-pop scene as ‘monster rookies.’ Cravity debuted in April 2020 with the EP Season 1. Hideout: Remember Who We Are and its lead single “Break All The Rules.”
