In the video the American rockers perform their new track ‘The Sky Is A Neighborhood’ atop two kids' bedroom
American rockers Foo Fighters released their brand new single “The Sky Is A Neighborhood” off their upcoming ninth studio album Concrete and Gold today. The new track follows the record’s first single “Run,” which the band surprised fans with this past June.
“The Sky Is A Neighborhood” opens with a stellar slow-yet-heavy groove by drummer Taylor Hawkins with frontman Dave Grohl belting out the song’s chorus. The track then brings in the rest of the band with some slick guitar work by both Chris Shiflet and Pat Smear. Bassist Nate Mendel and keyboardist Rami Jaffee both hold their own well throughout.
The accompanying music video captures the band performing the song atop a bedroom of two children. In the video, the group’s eyes are shining with a white/blue tinge, reflecting the color of the stars in the sky. Towards the end of the clip, the sky is illuminated with all sorts of colors while the band goes full throttle.
