A new video shows the band recording at Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai with producer and sound engineer Shantanu Hudlikar

Indian Ocean let in early on in their behind-the-scenes video for their new album that this release is going to be packed with collaborations. Violin maestro L Shankar and kanjira expert Selva Ganesh are two of the names dropped by the band’s manager Dhruv Jagasia, who is seen making notes.
We already like the sound of Tandanu, which could be the album name or a track name. Drummer Amit Kilam has added new instruments to his list of many including a musical saw and a steel cooking utensil – but we hope that our favorite, the gubgubi, without which one of their most requested songs “Ma Rewa” is incomplete, makes an appearance on the new album as well.Â
The teaser video has been shot at the band’s new studio in Delhi and also at YRF Studios in Mumbai.  Bassist-vocalist Rahul Ram, guitarist Nikhil Rao [who replaced founding member Susmit Sen in June last year], tabla player Tuheen Chakraborty, vocalist Himanshu Joshi, Kilam, Jagasia and YRF Studios’ chief sound engineer Shantanu Hudlikar all feature in the two-minute teaser, which indicates that atleast one of the seven tracks may just turn into a crowd favorite.  Â
