The track is the lead single off the South Korean vocalist and producer’s highly-anticipated first EP, ‘SOMO: FUME’
Following the massive success of his first solo project “Switch It Up,” South Korean singer-songwriter and producer JAY B invites listeners to discover the depths of his artistry via his debut EP, SOMO: FUME.
The lead single “B.T.W” is a smooth R&B track that highlights the synergy between JAY B and H1GHR MUSIC’s co-founders Jay Park and Cha Cha Malone. JAY B joined the international hip-hop and R&B label earlier this year in May.
“B.T.W” outlines the story of a smitten man who desires nothing more than the company of his lover, “24 every day/You are my baby/ Every night of the week/ You are my baby.” The track also features Park, who elevates the love quotient of the single with smooth vocal addition, “If you’re not by me everything becomes meaningless/ I’m falling in love every day.”
Produced by Malone (who also produced “Switch It Up,”) “B.T.W” brews a laid-back mood with a combination of chillhop-trap and JAY B’s breezy vocals. The track encapsulates a summer vibe with a house party concept and relaxed choreography.
One of the most anticipated releases of the year, JAY B’s debut solo EP SOMO: FUME boasts a star-studded list of seven collaborative tracks. In addition to Jay Park and Cha Cha Malone on “B.T.W,” SOMO: FUME–which stands for Style Of My Own: FUME– features seasoned performers and producers such as Junny, MAMAMOO’s Wheein, GRAY, GroovyRoom, g1nger and WOOGIE. The EP also includes “Switch It Up,” which features rapper sokodomo.
