Watch ‘Jurassic World”s Trailer Bring on the Bloodthirsty Dinos

Action-packed trailer finds Chris Pratt and company fending off genetically modified hybrid "Indominus Rex"

The first official teaser for the long-awaited Jurassic World featured plenty of exposition ”“ but a depressing lack of dinosaurs. The folks behind the movie’s new global trailer, however, have gone to great lengths to rectify the situation by showcasing all kinds of CGI behemoths ”“ from a monstrous, hungry sea beast (the “mosasaurus”) to a winged dino that picks up a woman and soars away.

Jurassic World is directed by Colin Trevorrow (best known for the 2012 Sundance sleeper comedy Safety Not Guaranteed), who co-wrote the screenplay with Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver and Rick Connolly. The film is produced by Steven Spielberg, director of the original blockbuster, and will hit theaters on June 12th ”” 14 years after the franchise’s last title, Jurassic Park III.

Last year, in celebration of Jurassic Park‘s 21 anniversary, John Williams’ iconic score was released on 180-gram vinyl. Some copies were pressed on special “Dilophosaurus”-colored vinyl, with 1,000 editions issued on “translucent amber” vinyl.
