Watch Kendrick Lamar’s Ruthless ‘DNA’ Video

Don Cheadle tries to interrogate MC in intense new clip

Don Cheadle transforms into Kendrick Lamar in the intense new video for “DNA.” The track appears on Lamar’s new album, Damn.

The Nabil-directed clip finds Cheadle playing a ruthless interrogator going after Lamar, who is cuffed and hooked up to a lie detector machine. But when Cheadle switches the machine on, he’s zapped with Lamar’s life force and begins spitting the ruthless, Geraldo Rivera-dissing Damn. track.

Lamar and Cheadle begin to bark bars back and forth and mirror each other’s movements until finally Cheadle succumbs and lets Lamar go. On the outside, Kung Fu Kenny rolls dice with his crew and spits the the rest of “DNA.” with vicious abandon.

Damn. marks Lamar’s fourth album and follows his 2015 LP, To Pimp a Butterfly, and his 2016 compilation album, untitled unmastered. The record includes contributions from Rihanna, U2, James Blake, Mike Will Made-It and more. Lamar first teased Damn. with non-album cut “The Heart Part 4,” which he followed with the single, “HUMBLE.”
