Watch The Koniac Net’s Quirky Video for New Song ‘Crawling’

The track is the first single off the Mumbai rockers upcoming LP 'They Finally Herd Us'

It’s been a while since we last heard fresh material from Mumbai rock outfit The Koniac Net, five years to be precise ”“ since the release of their 2014 EP Abiogenesis. Earlier this week, the band dropped their brand new single, the pop rock leaning “Crawling,” from their forthcoming 11-track third record They Finally Herd Us, out next month.

The track opens with singer-guitarist David Abraham strumming a bright chord progression and getting you sucked in to a catchy vocal melody before the rest of the band creeps in and tidily builds the song with clever dynamics.

The music video ”“ directed by Mumbai videographers Jishnu Guha and Krish Makhija ”“ opens with the group performing “Crawling” in a house while donning large pieces of headgear that resembles your favorite four-legged animals. Drummer Karun Kannampilly’s giraffe hood definitely stands out. As the video progresses, the band passes on their masks to fans that flock into the house with balloons and groove along while The Koniac Net powers through with the track.
