If you’re looking for a metalhead’s brutally honest ””not to mention uncensored””opinion on current musical happenings, and more, you can bet on new web series 3 Wise Metalheads for your fix of humorous rants. The satirical series features host and indie music funnyman Rohit “P Man” Pereira, Albatross frontman Biprorshee Das and Providence guitarist Shezan Shaikh who discuss and deride the latest in independent and international music, with the occasional anecdote from Shaikh and Das.

Created by production house Okay Potato, the two episode-old show aims to, as Pereira describes, “essentially talk about anything and everything,” while balancing Shaikh’s hotheaded views with Das’s more composed take on issues. He says, “I thought, ”˜Let’s make this the perfect mixture.’ You have me, who is the moderator, but also giving out gyaan; you have the Bong metalhead journalist in Bipro; and Shezan, the ”˜truth bomb’.”

So far, the series has taken a shot at entrepreneur-turned-pop singer Ananya Birla’s heavily autotuned infamous debut “Livin’ The Life,” which Shaikh calls the “shittiest fucking typical American douchebag movie put in two minutes,” owing to the “fuckall” music, deadpan plot and the scenic but ultimately unimaginative visuals. All three metalheads more or less align in the second episode, however, as they discuss the peculiarity of Metallica being nominated to the Grammys’ Best Rock Song category for 2016’s “Hardwired,” and eventually reminisce about the thrash veterans’ 2011 shows in India.

3 Wise Metalheads, which aims to be a weekly series, will continue to feature Das and Shaikh, along with possibly the occasional guest appearance by fellow metalheads.
