Watch: Peter Cat Recording Co.’s Surreal New Video for ‘I’m Home’

The Delhi psychedelic rock band's waltzy opening track off their latest album 'Climax' gets the slow-motion treatment

The Grim Reaper stumbles around in a drunken stupor in Delhi psychedelic rock band Peter Cat Recording Co.’s new music video for “I’m Home,” off their 2015 album Climax. Directed and edited by frontman Suryakant Sawhney aka Lifafa, “I’m Home” opens with a woman [played by Delhi-based filmmaker Surabhi Tandon] leaping off a ledge. The video cuts straight to a figure clad in all-black, who’s Death personified by Sawhney, perfectly ambling through a long road [shot at the massive Great Wall of China] to reach a cremation. Sawhney, in his own characteristic jaded demeanor, makes his way through to the woman and calls her away.

Presented entirely in slow-motion to match the band’s lazy, hazy opening track on Climax, “I’m Home” is the band’s second music video, following their equally-surreal and trippy video for the song “Love Demons,” which was released in 2013.
