Watch Q-pop Group Ninety One React to Indian Artists

The Kazakh pop/hip-hop group check out music featuring Madame Gandhi, Dopeadelicz, Prabh Deep and more

Published by

A few months ago, we asked Kazakh pop group Ninety One to check out some of the most prominent artists in India’s alternative music scene. The musicians featured are Indian-American producer and singer Madame Gandhi, Mumbai-based hip-hop crew Dopeadelicz, Nagaland musicians Joshua Shohe & Zonimong Imchen and Kashmiri rapper Ahmer with Punjabi rapper Prabh Deep and New Delhi producer Sez On The Beat. This series focuses on highlighting various artists making waves outside of the mainstream sphere.

The artists in the video span several different genres including hip-hop, trap, fusion, R&B and pop. Ninety One discussed each artist and video in detail, talking about the power of being able to express yourself through music and the relatability of the subject matter in the lyrics even if we’re all from different countries. The group also included a special message for their Indian fans in the video.

The artists previously featured on this series are K-pop stars OnlyOneOfAleXa and Eric Nam, as well as Korean hip-hop originators MFBTY.
